Why green and purple?

Well, purple has been my favorite color for a long time, but I was struggling to find another color to compliment dark purple text, and then I remembered that green compliments purple really well, and found this really pretty shade called pale green in CSS and I think it is my new favorite :D It reminds me of Jade!!!
